Old Masters Clear Wood Conditioner 1 qt.

Old Masters Wood Conditioner is a clear, oil-based pre-stain sealer designed to prepare soft wood surfaces for uniform stain application. When applied to woods like pine, fir, and hemlock, this product prevents the blotchy, uneven coloring that often occurs when stain is applied directly to the bare wood. By sealing the surface first, you achieve a more consistent and professional-looking finish.

This pre-stain sealer works beneath both oil-based and water-based stains, making it a versatile choice for various finishing projects. The VOC-compliant formula is formulated for Ozone Transport Commission (OTC) states and the South Coast Air Quality Management District. The product may remain open longer than other formulas before stain application is required, giving you flexibility in your workflow.
